Thomas Chanas, Lawyer, LL.B, Accredited Mediator
Thomas is a lawyer and investigator in matters of workplace psychological harassment and violence. He is a member of the bar in both Quebec and France and an accredited mediator by the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec.
Holder of a Master 1 as well as a License in Law from the University of Grenoble, he began his graduate studies in France, where he also completed several internships in law firms working in the field of labour law. He then graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
After developing his professional skills as a litigator before Quebec courts, Thomas decided to specialize his practise in labour law by assisting our clients under both provincial and federal jurisdiction throughout the investigation process as well as after. Thomas is specialized in investigating workplace harassment and violence. He acts as a legal advisor, in parallel with his investigative mandate, to ensure the integrity of the process and to answer all process-related questions.
Thomas has a well-rounded experience as an investigator, having served clients of all types, from associations to private, public and para-public organizations, in various fields, namely: mining, transport, telecommunications, industrial, education and even healthcare. He is recognized for the quality and rigour of his legal analysis as well as for his diplomatic approach, allowing him to intervene in complex and sensitive cases.
